What We Do
Diagnostic radiologists are physicians who use a variety of medical imaging techniques to diagnose and treat injuries and disease. Our specialists are board certified in diagnostic radiology. Team members also include specialists in interventional radiology.
Tests We Perform
Our diagnostic radiologists use X-rays, mammography, ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), positron emission tomography (PET) and nuclear imaging for a wide range of diagnostic procedures, including:
- Breast imaging
- Cardiac screening
- Bone density testing
- Tests for early detection of cancer
- Monitoring of tumors
- Prostate imaging
- Procedures to diagnose disorders affecting the gastrointestinal, neurological, reproductive, urinary and endocrine systems
- Procedures to diagnose disorders affecting the musculoskeletal system, including fractures, disc problems and other conditions
- Brain scans
- Diagnosis of unexplained pain or swelling
Why We Are Different
Our board-certified diagnostic radiologists perform more than 75,000 exams each year, providing advanced imaging services at many WESTMED sites in Westchester and Connecticut. We offer the ease and convenience of having imaging performed quickly, often on the same day -- and at the same site -- as your visit with the physician who ordered the test.
Studies and reports are uploaded electronically, allowing for easy access by physicians. Our diagnostic imaging reports automatically appear in your medical chart for each physician you see at WESTMED, often within 15 minutes of your exam. Abnormal results are delivered promptly, along with recommendations for treatment and follow-up care.
