Released: 2/8/2016

Immunotherapy has been named the top cancer advance of the year by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), whose president spoke on Capitol Hill on World Cancer Day last Thursday. Immunotherapies use the body’s own immune system to fight cancer. The FDA has approved it for several cancers, including melanoma, bladder cancer, non-small-cell lung cancer and renal cell carcinoma.
